What really mattersPosted by Rene in Untagged |

Sorry, no information on working in the UK or where to find a nice place to live for the moment ... I would rather like to focus on the things that really matter when living in or visiting the UK. England's Premier League just started some weeks ago and unlike the English National Team, which is, despite having hired one of the most successful and expensive coaches in European football, underperforming as usual (happy I didn't watch the match against the Czech Republic - but I heard that even the crowd at Wembley Stadium booed the players off) - club football is surely something you should keep an eye on.
The pain of supporters not seeing their "Three Lions" qualifying for the European Championship in Austria and Switzerland this summer was hard to ease. However, having three teams in last year's semi-final in the Champions League and eventually seeing Manchester United claiming the title of being Europe's best was definitely a statement on the Premier League's potential and certainly helped to reinstall some pride of British football fans.
I am actually quite curious to see which team will be top of the table at the end of this season. Whether any other English team can contest with England's top sites namely Manchester, Liverpool and London's Arsenal and Chelsea and claim one of the positions eligible for starting in the Champions League nest year and, of course, whether English club football can once again smash continental football.
