If you can dream it, you can do it!Posted by Kate in Untagged |

By using the power of positive thinking, repetitive visualisation and taking adequate steps towards our goals, we can apparently achieve anything we want. It sounds really simple, doesn´t it ? You may think it´s nothing new you wouldn´t have heard before. Isn´t it just an old self-help programme rebranded into a new attractive product? Maybe but if the results of successful people who adopted this positive approach are not enough for you to believe, you may be interested to hear it is now supported by new evidence from neuroscience and quantum physics.
Psychoneuroimmunology proves there is a connection between our thoughts and our body´s reactions to them. Every thought has an electrical and a chemical balance sending out vibrations as does our body or a table or anything in the universe. Depending on the vibration of the thought, we create positive or negative energy around us. Thus, in the same way we attract either good or bad events to us.
In the film ´The Secret´ which took the world by storm, John Assaraf and another successful entrepreneur, Bob Proctor, explain these mutual vibrations is the so-called ´Law of Attraction´.

But what is actually the ´Big Secret´ here? "It explains how we attract everything into our life, good and bad," says Bob Proctor on the US talk show hosted by Ellen Degeneres.
"We´re like magnets...What we think about, we´re attracting. Most people think about debt, and so they´re attracting it, they should think of abudance and they´ll attract that," he adds.
If the journey to happiness and success is just positive thinking, I would have to be a millionaire by now, you may think. Based on Assaraf´s and Procter´s teachings, you have most probably neglected two other laws, persistence and action, which are inseparable companions to positive attitude. As John explains, there are three laws to keep in mind when planning a change. The Law of Attraction is applied when you "focus on what you want, not on what you don´t want." Within the Law of Gestation it is advised: "Don´t be impatient and allow the law of time to work with you." And finally the Law of Action means: "You´ve got to get off your butts, you´ve got to take action," he adds.
In order for results to start taking shape, our time and energy must be put into action accordingly. It seems a lot of work but it is definitely a worthwhile investment to think ourselves into anything we want to be. Shall we try?
